Donald Trump expected to announce VP pick on Friday
Presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump is reportedly going to unveil and appear with his running mate on Friday. On Tuesday evening, at a rally in Indiana with one of the potential candidates, Gov. Mike Pence (R), Trump teased the crowd: "I don't know if he's going to be your governor or your vice president. Who the hell knows?" Two other widely discussed candidates, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, have also campaigned with Trump in recent weeks, and Gingrich parted ways with Fox News on Tuesday in anticipation of the VP announcement. Also rumored to be on Trump's short list is retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn.
On Fox News, Gingrich said that Trump will name his running mate "certainly no later than Friday, because they're going to want to dominate the weekend news with the vice presidential selection." But later Tuesday night, Fox News host Bill O'Reilly told Trump that Friday would be a terrible time to announce. O'Reilly also guessed from Trump's coy answers that he would pick either Pence or Gingrich. You can watch their game of verbal cat and mouse below. Peter Weber
