Never forget the time that Ted Cruz joked about running over Donald Trump

Donald Trump tweeted an unflattering photo of his wife and suggested his father was linked to the assassination of JFK, making it not at all surprising that when Ted Cruz got onstage at the Republican National Convention on Wednesday night, he didn't endorse the nominee.

Cruz didn't exactly wait quietly in the wings for this opportunity to embarrass Trump on live television — back in March, he joked on Jimmy Kimmel Live about running Trump over in his car.

He may not have endorsed Trump on Wednesday, but at least Cruz didn't giggle at the thought of him being roadkill. Progress!
