Stephen Colbert and Will Smith ponder deep thoughts

After an impromptu performance of his hit "Summertime," Will Smith sat down with Stephen Colbert on Tuesday's Late Show to discuss Suicide Squad, why he didn't let his costars give him a tattoo, and the difference between being 40 and 20. Then Colbert shifted to his recurring "Big Questions With Even Bigger Stars" segment, asking Smith, "Are you a deep person?" "Oh, hell yeah," Smith replied. So they laid down on a real blanket on fake grass under a real ceiling of fake stars and delved into life's deeper questions, just as you might in, say, Colorado or Washington State.

"Stephen, you ever wonder if we're all, like, just inside of some dog's dream?" Smith asked. "No, because if we were, then there wouldn't be vacuum cleaners," Colbert replied, but Smith had a comeback: "Ah, unless it's a nightmare."
