CNN's Alisyn Camerota incredulously asks David Hogg to explain how 'dumbass' colleges possibly rejected him
It's college acceptance season, and if it were up to CNN's Alisyn Camerota, things would be shaking out a little differently.
On Friday's New Day, Camerota's guest was David Hogg, the teenaged survivor of the school shooting in Parkland, Florida, that took 17 lives last month. Hogg has emerged as a national figure in the fight for gun control, and on Wednesday that attracted the scorn of Fox News host Laura Ingraham, who responded to Hogg's revealing that he received rejections from several colleges by mocking the teen for "whining."
The kerfuffle resulted in Ingraham's Fox News show being abandoned by advertisers, after Hogg issued a Twitter call to boycott the program. But on Friday, all Camerota really wanted Hogg to explain was: "What kind of dumbass colleges don't want you?"

"I am stunned that four colleges rejected you," Camerota said, asking Hogg to explain when he received the rejections and, if he would be so kind, to explain how in the world that happened. Eloquent as ever, Hogg responded with a message about college access. Watch the clip below. Kimberly Alters
