Roseanne actor John Goodman, best known for his role as Roseanne Barr's on-screen husband, sort of weighed in Thursday on the show's cancellation following Barr's posting of a racist tweet.

Goodman was picking up his car from the shop near his home in New Orleans when he was confronted by an entertainment reporter. "It's not that I disrespect you guys," said the visibly reluctant Goodman, "I just — I would rather say nothing than to cause more trouble." He added that he is doing fine and doesn't "know anything about" Twitter.

When questioned further, Goodman said he has not been approached about starring in a Roseanne spinoff without Barr, and that he does not think the controversy has cost him a shot at an Emmy because he would not have won one anyway.
