Rep. Dan Donovan easily defeated former Rep. Michael Grimm Tuesday night in the Republican primary in New York City's 11th district.

Donovan was endorsed by President Trump, and with 92 percent of precincts reporting, had 64 percent of the vote compared to Grimm's 36 percent. Grimm served as a congressman from 2011 to 2015, leaving office to serve time in federal prison after pleading guilty to felony tax fraud. Donovan, who won a special election to replace Grimm, will face Democrat Max Rose in November.
