Federal prosecutors now have a 'complete window' into the Trump Organization's finances, CNN analyst says

Allen Weisselberg's immunity in Michael Cohen's investigation could spell trouble for President Trump.

Weisselberg, the longtime chief financial officer of the Trump Organization, is reportedly receiving immunity to speak with federal prosecutors who are investigating Cohen's campaign finance violations. "He knows where the money is," said CNN legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin on Friday.

Whether that's true remains to be seen, New York University law professor Ryan Goodman argued. Weisselberg was called to testify regarding Cohen's investigation, not the probe into the Trump Organization, and public record doesn't show that prosecutors asked him about the company's records overall. At the same time, his testimony could point investigators in the direction of any other potential wrongdoing, Toobin explained.

"If there is nothing improper that went on there, Donald Trump has nothing to worry about," Toobin told CNN. "But if there is something improper, the feds are very likely going to know about it." Summer Meza
