Marco Rubio calls Alex Jones a 'clown' during heated exchange on Capitol Hill
Alex Jones got into a heated argument with Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) on Wednesday in the Senate hallway, with Jones repeatedly berating the senator until Rubio threatened to "take care of" him.
Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey and Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg are testifying before the Senate Intelligence Committee on Wednesday, speaking about issues of election interference and misinformation on their platforms. So Jones, the Infowars founder and fringe conspiracy theorist who was recently banned from most major social media websites, decided to show up on Capitol Hill to wander around the halls ranting about being censored and claiming that the media slandered him, per CNBC.
Eventually, Jones interrupted Rubio during a gaggle, asking him to address "the Democrats purging conservatives" on social media. After attempting to ignore Jones, Rubio told him, "I don't know who you are, man." That really set Jones off, as he proceeded to call Rubio a "snake" and a "frat boy." He also put his hand on Rubio's shoulder, prompting the senator to angrily warn, "Don't touch me again, man." When Jones asked if Rubio was going to have him arrested, Rubio said that the authorities wouldn't be necessary because "I'll take care of you myself."

At that point, Rubio tried to get back on topic, taking questions from the journalists and ignoring Jones. "You guys can talk to this clown," Rubio told reporters before walking away. "Go back to your bathhouse," Jones shouted back. You can watch video of the exchange, which was streamed live on Periscope by Gateway Pundit contributor Cassandra Fairbanks, below. Brendan Morrow
