Former Stormy Daniels lawyer says Michael Cohen saw it as a 'personal embarrassment' that he didn’t get a White House job

Stormy Daniels' former lawyer says Michael Cohen actually did want a job in the White House after all.

Keith Davidson, who was formerly an attorney for Daniels and for Playboy model Karen McDougal, told ABC News on Monday that Cohen "confided in me that he was just beside himself" not to have received a job in the Trump administration.

"In his words, you know, he said, 'Can you f---ing believe, after everything I've done, he's not taking me to Washington?' He felt that it was a personal embarrassment for him [that] he was rejected," said Davidson.

Cohen denied as much under oath when he testified before the House Oversight Committee, saying, "I did not want to go to the White House." CNN reported on the day of Cohen's testimony that their sources had suggested otherwise per Mediaite, with Dana Bash flagging this statement as a "potential problem" for Cohen and Jake Tapper adding, "a lot of us here raised our eyebrows because we knew it to not be true.”
