Trump is reportedly the only person in the White House who thinks Giuliani is helping


President Trump's personal lawyer and former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani is reportedly causing some frustration in the White House, The Wall Street Journal reports.
Giuliani's been at the forefront of the Ukraine scandal that prompted Congress' impeachment inquiry of Trump, appearing on numerous television shows to defend his boss, as well as his own decision to encourage Ukrainian officials to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden, whom Giuliani has alleged tried to stop a Ukrainian corruption probe to protect Biden's son, Hunter. But it seems that some members of the Trump administration, not including the president, have had enough.
"The only person that likes Rudy on TV right now is Trump," one person close to Trump told the Journal. That's apparently because Trump is a fan of anyone who goes on TV to "fight for him."

Attorney General William Barr, for example, is reportedly "privately mystified" by Giuliani's meddling in matters that he thinks should be handled only by government officials, and he has reportedly told associates that he doesn't believe the former mayor's behavior is helpful to the administration. Of course, Barr is caught in the thick of things, as well, especially after Trump name-dropped him and Giuliani simultaneously during a July phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, which sparked accusations that the president was urging Zelensky to investigate Biden's son. The attorney general was reportedly angered by the revelation and denied that Trump ever asked him to communicate with the Ukrainians. That hasn't stopped Democrats like House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) from questioning Barr's role in the saga, however. Read more at The Wall Street Journal.
