No travel for 'annoying vegan'
Switzerland has denied a woman's passport application on the grounds that she is an "annoying vegan", The Independent reports. Nancy Holten (pictured above), an outspoken animal rights activist, irritated neighbours with complaints about cow-bells and piglet racing. However, she lives in an area where locals get a say in passport approvals and of the 206 people in the Gipf-Oberfrick community, 144 gave her the thumbs-down.
