Urban Outfitters accused of selling another Holocaust-inspired product

Hipster retailer Urban Outfitters is under fire for selling a tapestry that the Anti-Defamation League says is "eerily reminiscent" of Holocaust imagery. The product in question features gray and white stripes emblazoned with a pink triangle akin to those Nazis forced gay prisoners to wear in concentration camps.

"Whether intentional or not, this gray and white stripped pattern and pink triangle combination is deeply offensive and should not be mainstreamed into popular culture," ADL National Director Abraham Foxman said in a statement.

In 2012, Urban Outfitters pulled a T-shirt with a six-pointed star badge that some said evoked the Star of David patches Jews were forced to wear under Nazi rule. The company has also faced criticism for other offensive designs such as, most recently, a blood-spattered Kent State sweatshirt.
