Federal agents called for the remaining anti-government protesters to leave Oregon's Malheur National Wildlife Refuge Wednesday, hours after eight members of the armed group, including leader Ammon Bundy, were arrested and one was killed in a standoff with authorities. Roads surrounding the refuge were blockaded and officials set up checkpoints nearby, warning that anyone who tried to enter would be arrested.

"They had ample opportunity to leave the refuge peacefully," the FBI said at a news conference Wednesday. "And as the FBI and our partners have clearly demonstrated, actions are not without consequences."
