Sinead O'Connor found after being sought by police

Update 3:15 p.m.: Sinead O'Connor has been found safe at a local hotel and has been taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Our original post appears below.

Police in the Chicago suburb of Wilmette are searching for the Irish singer Sinead O'Connor after they failed to locate her during a check-for-well-being alert. The police had issued the alert after an unnamed caller expressed concern about O'Connor. According to officials, O'Connor was last seen on Sunday morning when she left for a bike ride at 6 a.m.; she never returned to her home.
