Hillary Clinton claims a 6-point lead in Florida

Hillary Clinton can now add Florida to the list of swing states where she leads Donald Trump in the polls. A new survey of the Sunshine State by Suffolk University out Thursday showed Clinton with a 6-point lead over Trump, pulling 48 percent support to Trump's 42 percent in the crucial battleground state. Nine percent of Florida voters remain undecided.
When third-party candidates are added into the mix, Clinton's margin shrinks somewhat but she still holds the lead. In a four-way race, Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson claims 4 percent, Green Party candidate Jill Stein gets 3 percent, Trump snags 39 percent, and Clinton leads with 43 percent.
Clinton is strong among women, a group she leads Trump with by 12 points. With voters in the more cosmopolitan south Florida, Clinton is ahead by a whopping 24 points. However, Trump still has a slight edge among men, 46 percent to 44 percent, and he polls better in northern Florida, where he leads Clinton 54 percent to 39 percent.
