1. Republicans face off in New Hampshire
Republican presidential hopefuls faced off in Manchester, New Hampshire, Saturday night, just days before the state's second-in-the-nation primaries. Donald Trump, Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, Ben Carson, Jeb Bush, Chris Christie, and John Kasich were asked about everything from eminent domain to their plans for defeating the Islamic State to health care. Trump said as president, he would repeal ObamaCare and introduce something "so much better," while Bush declared that he wouldn't rule out launching a military strike against North Korea.
2. North Korea launches long-range rocket
North Korea defied international warnings Sunday by launching a long-range rocket that the United Nations and others believe is a cover for a test of a ballistic missile that could reach the United States mainland. It comes a month after the rogue state claimed to have detonated a hydrogen bomb. U.S. National Security Adviser Susan Rice called it "yet another destabilizing and provocative action." The U.N. Security Council planned to hold an emergency meeting Sunday to discuss a possible response.

3. Turkey at capacity with refugees, will keep accepting them
Turkey is at capacity with accepting refugees, but will continue to do so as people flee Syria, the nation's deputy prime minister said Sunday. "Either they will die beneath the bombings and Turkey will...watch the massacre like the rest of the world, or we will open our borders," Numan KurtulmuÅŸ said. Turkey's border has been closed for three days as they provide aid to 35,000 Syrians on the other side. The nation has 3 million refugees, 2.5 million of whom fled Syria.
4. Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders to debate in Flint
Democratic presidential hopefuls Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders will debate in Flint, Michigan, on March 6, the Democratic National Committee announced Sunday. The city is grappling with an ongoing water crisis that has endangered residents' health. "This debate is an opportunity to elevate the very serious issues facing the residents of Flint, and it's also an opportunity to remind voters what Democratic leadership can do for the economy," DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz said.
5. New York governor moves to ban LGBT conversion therapy
New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) announced executive orders Saturday intended to ban LGBT conversion therapy. Both public and private insurers are banned from reimbursing the therapy, which aims to change a person's sexual orientation or gender identity, for minors. And facilities funded, licensed, or operated by New York will not be allowed to offer conversion therapy to minors. "We will not allow the misguided and the intolerant to punish LGBT young people for simply being who they are," Cuomo said.
6. Taiwan quake death toll rises to 26
The death toll in Saturday's early morning earthquake in Taiwan has climbed to 26, officials said Sunday. More than 120 people are still missing after rescuers spent 37 hours searching a collapsed 17-story residential building. At least 516 people were injured when the 6.4-magnitude quake rocked the island's southwest region.
7. 5 skiers die in Austrian avalanche
An avalanche at a popular Austrian resort killed five Czech skiers Saturday, a police spokesman said. Two other skiers from the group were injured, and another 10 buried were unharmed. The experienced skiers had been warned about the danger of an avalanche in Tirol, a western Alpine region.
8. Carolina Panthers, Denver Broncos to meet in Super Bowl 50
The Carolina Panthers and Denver Broncos will face off Sunday in Super Bowl 50. Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning, who may retire after this season, will seek to add a second ring to his collection, while younger counterpart Cam Newton will become just the sixth black quarterback to appear in the championship game. Coldplay, Beyoncé, and Bruno Mars are set to perform at halftime. It all goes down in San Francisco at 6:30 p.m. ET on CBS.
9. Beyoncé releases music video ahead of Super Bowl performance
Beyoncé released a new single and music video Saturday, marking her first major release since she surprise-dropped her self-titled album in 2013. "Formation," which heavily references Hurricane Katrina and the Black Lives Matter movement, centers on black pride. Two filmmakers have called out Beyoncé, claiming she used footage from their documentary, That B.E.A.T., without permission. Beyoncé's representative countered that the footage is properly licensed.

10. Bernie Sanders makes SNL cameo alongside Larry David
Democratic presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders made a brief cameo on Saturday Night Live alongside host Larry David. A sketch featured the two men on a sinking ship, with David's character asserting that he should be saved due to his wealth. Sanders played Bernie Sanderswitzky, a nod to his Jewish upbringing, and labeled David's character as the 1 percent. David also starred as Sanders in a pre-taped sketch, Bern Your Enthusiasm, but the Vermont senator didn't make an appearance.
