Baftas 2015: Cumberbatch and Colman get the nod
Nominations for Brit dramas Happy Valley, The Missing and Line Of Duty, and recognition for Netflix at the TV Baftas
The nominations for the 2015 Bafta TV awards have been announced, and Benedict Cumberbatch, James Nesbitt and Olivia Colman are among the stars with something to celebrate.
Cumberbatch has been nominated for his role in the BBC series Sherlock and will be up against fellow Leading Actor nominees James Nesbitt (BBC One’s The Missing), Toby Jones (Marvellous, BBC Two) and Jason Watkins (ITV's The Lost Honour of Christopher Jefferies).
Colman, who has received a Bafta nomination for a fourth consecutive year, is up for best Female Performance In A Comedy for her role as a vicar's wife in Rev, reported the BBC. She won a Bafta last year for her role in the ITV drama Broadchurch.

Other Leading Actress nominees include Sheridan Smith for her role as Cilla Black in ITV's Cilla, Keeley Hawes for Line of Duty (BBC Two), Sarah Lancashire for Happy Valley (BBC One), and Georgina Campbell for Murdered by My Boyfriend (BBC Three).
Happy Valley, Line of Duty and The Missing have been tipped for the Drama Series category, along with BBC Two period crime drama Peaky Blinders.
Meanwhile, Hollyoaks has snapped up its first Bafta nomination since 2003, reported Digital Spy. The Channel 4 show was put forward in the Soap And Continuing Drama category and is up against Coronation Street, EastEnders and Casualty. EastEnders now has two chances at glory, having also secured a nomination for the Audience Award, the only prize voted for by the public.
Last year’s Entertainment Performance winners Ant and Dec have nabbed nominations again for their show Saturday Night Takeaway, while Graham Norton's talk show will compete in the Comedy and Entertainment Programme and Entertainment Performance categories.
In the international category it was all about the United States imports, with True Detective, The Good Wife, and Netflix hits House Of Cards and Orange Is The New Black grabbing the nominations.
Some commentators had questioned the absence of critically acclaimed and much-talked-about Wolf Hall, but it falls outside Bafta's remit for the 2015 awards, which includes only shows screened during 2014. Meanwhile, hit series Game of Thrones has been nominated only in the Audience Award category.
Nominees will find out if they're successful at the 2015 awards ceremony held at the Theatre Royal in London on May 10.
