A photograph of Donald Trump's running mate Mike Pence enjoying a family dinner has sparked an unusual theory on social media. In the image, Pence's daughter, Charlotte, does not appear to cast a reflection in the mirror behind her - leading some to suggest she may be a vampire. Twitter users said they were now unable to vote for Trump and Pence because they believe she is "a creature of the night".

Bride flies off scooter
Video footage has emerged of a Chinese groom losing his new bride from the back of a scooter as they ride over a speed bump. Nasa offers £13,000 to stay in bed and smoke dope
Nasa is searching for volunteers to participate in a "rest study" designed to find ways of keeping astronauts healthy during prolonged periods of space travel. The call has gone out for people willing to stay in bed for 70 days straight while smoking cannabis to help scientists attempt to treat ill-effects caused by being in outer space. Participants who last the full 70 days will be paid $18,000 (£13,600).
