Hot on the heels of its tongue-in-cheek collaboration with supermodel Kate Moss, whose left breast was the mould for a champagne coupe, restaurant 34 Mayfair has asked renowned shoe designer Rupert Sanderson to create its latest piece of playful glassware.
From 9 November, those ordering a bottle of Perrier-Jouet Belle Epoque Rose at the London venue will have their own Cinderella moment when they are presented with a glass slipper filled with champagne. The mini sculpture draws inspiration from the Art Deco decor of the restaurant as well as icons of the era, including the Chrysler Building in New York. It comprises two parts – the arched sole, made from silver-plated brass and crystal glass, acts as an intricately detailed stand that supports the detachable champagne flute "stiletto heel".
If you want to carry on the celebrations at home, a limited number are available to purchase for £5,000, in a set that comes complete with a bottle of the champagne and six flutes.

However, if the shoe doesn't fit, perhaps another Rupert Sanderson creation will. To mark the occasion, he has added a satin champagne pump to his ready-to-wear collection, which will be available to purchase in store from 9 November.
