Mercedes-AMG has given fans a sneak peek at its upcoming Project One hypercar, which is set to make its world debut at the Frankfurt motor show on 11 September.
What separates the Project One from other hypercars, such as the McLaren P1 and LaFerrari, is that it's powered by the same 1.6-litre turbocharged V6 hybrid engine that can be found in the back of Lewis Hamilton's F1 car.
It's difficult to see details of the car in the shadowy picture, but Evo says the Project One will have a "narrow cockpit" and "wide front arches" with a trio of LED headlights on either side of the front end.

"The angle of the Mercedes badge on the nose suggests that it will sit atop the bonnet rather than inside a grill", the magazine says. This is similar to how the company's logo appears on its F1 cars.
There's also a "vertical wing element mounted low down" at the front end, says Autocar, which hints that a "race-grade aerodynamic package" could appear on the car.
Above the cabin is a large air scoop that the magazine says is needed to keep the race-derived engine cool. A wide grille with AMG branding can be seen at the very front of the hypercar.
The engine will produce more than 1,000bhp, says Top Gear, helping the Project One hit a top speed of 217mph. Maximum power comes in at 11,000rpm, which is the same rev limit as the F1 car.
Only 275 examples of the £2.4m hypercar are planned for production, says AutoExpress. The "vast majority" of these has already been sold.
