Frankfurt Motor Show 2017 in pictures: all the latest cars
Audi RS4 Avant: an all-new version of Audi’s super estate made a surprise appearance at the show. It has a more aggressive design than its predecessor and features a 2.9-litre turbocharged V6 engine taken from the firm’s RS5 coupe.
BMW i3s: along with a revamped version of the i3 electric car, BMW revealed a faster i3s at the motor show. This model is powered by a 168bhp electric motor and gets wider wheel arches for a sportier look.

BMW M5: the new super saloon is not only more powerful than its predecessor, it’s also the first BMW performance car to be fitted with an all-wheel drive system. This helps launch the car from 0-62mph in a supercar-rivalling 3.4 seconds.

Bugatti Chiron
Ferrari Portofino: the Italian firm has dropped the California name for its entry-level supercar and instead calls its new model the Portofino. The vehicle is powered by the same 3.9-litre twin-turbo V8 as the company’s 488 and boasts a power output of 592bhp.

Ford EcoSport: an updated version arrives next year and sees the compact SUV get a host of tech features in the cabin, including a floating infotainment system and an optional B&O sound system.
Hyundai i30 N: the Korea manufacturer has ramped up its involvement in motorsport in recent years, and the i30 N is a celebration of its efforts. It’s been tested at Germany’s 12.9-mile Nurburgring test circuit and boasts a power output of 271bhp.

Suzuki Swift Sport: the third-generation hot hatchback is due out next year. Suzuki focused on improving the hatchback’s handling by lowering its weight to just 970kg, making it significantly lighter than most mass-volume cars of the past decade.
