Cartier Santos
While last year was all about the centenary of the Tank, for 2018 Cartier is placing the focus on another of its classic models – the Santos. This rebooted version, with its distinctive rounded square case, pays fitting tribute to the 1904 original, albeit with some chic mod cons. At the top of the list is the Quick Switch system that allows the wearer to effortlessly swap straps at the push of a button and, importantly, without the need for cumbersome tools. Opt for one of the handsome two-tone metal models with screw-set bezel, for a true statement piece.

Hublot Big Bang One Click
Known for its bold and boundary-pushing approach, Hublot is a natural home for those with a playful and experimental sartorial aesthetic. It's little surprise, therefore, that the watchmaker is a pioneer in providing adaptable ways for wearers to create unique and customised timepieces. This take on its famous Big Bang harnesses the brand's 'One-Click' technology, which was initially debuted on the Oceanographic 4000 as an easy means to switch between rubber and fabric straps for diving.

TAG Heuer Connected Modular 41
This ambitious smart-cum-mechanical watch is built around a modular system that enables the wearer to effortlessly switch between a traditional timepiece and a digital one on a whim. An added advantage of being able to easily deconstruct a timepiece in this way is the ability to quickly switch up different elements beyond the main timekeeping device. This latest version, available in a slimmed down 41mm diameter, can be paired with an array of straps, including nine brand new colours.
Farer Beagle
Farer's focus on unfussy, well-conceived details continues all the way down to its straps, which are kitted out with a lever mechanism allowing you to change the look in seconds. Match the vintage styling of its classic Beagle with a retro Milanese bracelet, or go all-out with the collection of Italian leather straps spanning pared-back black, chocolate brown and tan to trendy grey, peach and yellow colourways.
