Germany, so often the scourge of English football, have beaten the Three Lions yet again. This time though it’s not a penalty shoot-out where the Germans have emerged victorious, but a race to tie up the international footballing future for one of Europe’s most talented youngsters.

After a “tug-of-war” between the two nations, Bayern Munich star Jamal Musiala has now pledged his allegiance to Germany - the country of his birth.
