The city’s “blazing” hot dining scene is still squeezing flashy new acts out of celebrity chefs like Daniel Boulud, Masaharu Morimoto, and Giada De Laurentiis, but the most compelling openings aren’t trolling for tourist dollars. At places like the following, the city’s culinary scene is building enviable depth.
Container Park“Dedicated eaters and downtown hipsters alike” are flocking to this open-air retail and dining incubator—a sort of outdoor mall in which every business operates out of a sleekly retrofitted shipping container. The park’s culinary highlights include the lobster roll at the wine bar Bin 702 and the slider-style Iron Chef Burger served at chef Kerry Simon’s Pork & Beans. 707 Fremont St.
WildMiki Agrawal’s commitment to additive-, hormone-, and pesticide-free ingredients might seem “a bit hippy-dippy” for Sin City, but her first outlet outside New York City already feels like a Strip fixture.
