Dog helps save homeless owner
A homeless man suffering a medical emergency in Washington state attached a note to his dog and sent it for help. Not long after, a local resident found the dog walking along some railroad tracks, read the note, and dialed 911. The note didn’t give a location, but police had received reports of a homeless man with a dog living in local woods, and were able to find the man and get him to a hospital in the nick of time. “He was absolutely immobile,” says Detective Jen Kolb. “He was afraid he was going to die.”

To survive financially, a broke Lindsay Lohan is now juggling three superwealthy “sugar daddies,” says the Daily Star (U.K.). The troubled actress owes the government $300,000 in back taxes, has huge legal bills, and can’t get an acting part. So Lohan has been serving as “arm candy’’ for the trio of wealthy suitors—billionaire playboy Prince Haji Abdul Azim, hotelier Vikram Chatwal, and Spanish-American artist Domingo Zapata. “The dates last for days, and the guys pay for everything—hotel, travel costs, food, whatever—as well as jewelry and other gifts,” a source claims. A friend of Lohan’s says that “being an escort is just an easy way for her to stay above water.”
Dressing David's double
A Japanese town wants to put underpants on a replica of Michelangelo’s David. The 16-foot-tall statue has caused a stir since it was presented to the town of Okuizumo as a gift. “It’s frightening the children and worrying the adults with its nakedness,” said an official. “Several people have asked us to cover it up with underpants.” Officials are hoping that residents will eventually get used to the nudity.
