Show of the week: Restless
William Boyd's spy drama is set in the 1930s and 1970s.
From William Boyd, the author chosen to write the next James Bond novel, comes a spy drama set in the 1930s and 1970s. Michelle Dockery plays a woman who’s astounded when her mother confesses to being a spy in hiding, recruited by British intelligence in 1939 when she was a Russian émigré in Paris. The older woman (Charlotte Rampling) now seeks help, a task that requires revealing the details of her past. As the tale cuts between time frames, Hayley Atwell and Rufus Sewell help fill out the excellent cast. Fridays, Dec. 7 and 14, at 9 p.m., Sundance
