A transgendered airport screener has won a settlement from the TSA because she was forced to pat down male passengers. Ashley Yang says that since she is now a willowy, long-haired female, she should have been assigned to search other women. Instead, supervisors ordered her to frisk surprised male passengers, sparking comments such as, “Does this mean you are going to buy me dinner?”

A state liquor store in Nashua, N.H., is under fire because its hybrid-car parking spots are closer to the store than the handicapped spaces. The store, which has solar panels and geothermal heating, wanted to reward those who drive hybrids, but state legislators say that giving them priority over the disabled “is deplorable.”
