Baby deer causes a power outage
A baby deer caused a power outage in Montana by somehow becoming tangled in overhead power lines 20 feet off the ground. Resident Lee Bridges says that when she asked a NorthWestern Energy technician why her lights had gone out, he pointed up at the dangling carcass of a fawn and said, “There’s your problem—a flying deer.” Officials speculate that the young deer must have been grabbed by a large bald eagle and dropped so that it would be smashed and easier to eat.

The tree house Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes have built in the backyard for their 5-year-old power toddler is nicer than many people’s homes, complete with plumbing, thick carpeting, and a network of security cameras and nannies to watch over her. “Suri now has her dream home,” says the source. “She hosts tea parties there on fine china and watches TV with friends.”
Thieves steal a front lawn
A Canadian woman returned from a trip to find that her front lawn had been stolen. Denise Thompson says she had a beautiful, thick lawn, but that when she came home, she found only a rectangle of brown dirt. She is asking the thieves to return her property to its rightful place. “My boys are excited they don’t have to mow the grass,” says Thompson, but “I can’t afford this.”
