Best websites for finding vacation rentals
These sites also offer vacation ideas and arrange rentals by theme.
HomeAway.com provides “some 230,000 listings” of rental homes around the world, including in the Caribbean and South America. Its catalog of European properties is “especially strong.”
VRBO.com is an easy site to remember once you know that the acronym stands for “vacation rentals by owner.” There’s no middleman; you’re renting directly from homeowners. It has lots of listings, but searches can be “tedious as the site doesn’t have sorting options.”
TheRightVacationRental.com “has experts vet homes” to keep standards up. Prices are generally good, but listings are limited primarily to Europe.
