Best websites for Web 2.0 shopping-assistance
At these sites you can shop with a buddy via an instant-messenger service, find great coupons, and help a favorite charity.
FriendShopper.com lets a shopping buddy comment in real time on the online purchases you’re considering. Just add the “bookmarklet” to your browser and sign in to the site’s instant-messenger service. Share images of the house, car, or boots you’re thinking about buying, and learn instantly if your pal “thinks it’s for you.”
DealTaker.com is a “great source of coupons and special offers.” Follow Deal Taker’s @CouponBot on Twitter and tweet “@CouponBot StoreName” to get “up to 10 coupon links.”
Rec.fm turns shopping into an opportunity to help a favorite charity. Create a product recommendation through the site and then share it with Facebook friends and Twitter followers. If someone buys the product through your link, your charity receives at least 2 percent of the purchase price.
