Scorpios, after the Allstate Insurance Company released a study that found that Scorpios had the fewest car accidents last year, while Virgos had the most. Allstate assured customers that “astrological signs have absolutely no role in how we set rates.”

Bad week for:

Downsizing, after a new study found that the average American worker’s personal work space shrank from 90 square feet in 1994 to 75 square feet last year.

Smokers, after New York City banned outdoor smoking in parks, beaches, and busy public areas like Times Square. “New Yorkers who go to our parks and beaches for some fresh air and fun will be able to breathe even cleaner air,” said Mayor Michael Bloomberg.

Kenneth Cole, the designer, who sparked outrage by using the Egyptian revolution as the basis for a publicity campaign on Twitter. “Millions are in uproar in #Cairo,” he tweeted. “Rumor is they heard that our new spring collection is now available online at http://bit.ly/KCairo.” Cole apologized for his “insensitivity.”
