For sale: Land where the Unabomber lived

A Montana real estate agent is trying to capitalize on the notoriety of “Unabomber’’ Ted Kaczynski by selling the remote piece of land on which he once lived. Realtor John Pistelak says that while Kaczynski’s self-built cabin, where he constructed the bombs that killed three and injured 23, has since been removed to a museum, he’s confident someone will pay the $70,000 asking price, even though no one ever goes anywhere near that property. “With the history, it’s got to be worth something,” says Pistelak.

Avant-garde art project takes a backwards view

A New York University professor has had a digital camera implanted in the back of his head as part of an avant-garde art project. Visual artist Wafaa Bilal will keep the camera in his head for a full year, capturing a still image every minute to demonstrate what he’d see if he had eyes in the back of his head. Bilal says the surgery to implant the camera, with only local anesthetic, was more painful than he’d expected, and that if he’d known in advance how much it would hurt, “I don’t think I would have done it.”
