The truth about Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt
Jolie and Pitt may be the biggest celebrities on the planet, but much of their lives is spent as homebodies, parenting their six children and taking turns making movies.
Angelina Jolie knows full well what the tabloids are saying about her and Brad Pitt, said Rich Cohen in Vanity Fair. “There’s a cycle—we’re separating, I’m pregnant, we’re getting married.” The truth, she says, is far less dramatic. Sure, they’re the biggest celebrities on the planet, but much of their lives is spent as homebodies, parenting their six children, while they take turns making movies. “We actually don’t go out all that much. We’re very homebound. We’re very much Mommy and Daddy in our pajamas.”
But that doesn’t mean the two are staying together for the kids, as some reports would have it. “The children certainly tie us together, but a relationship won’t hold if it’s only about the kids. You must also be really interested in each other and have a really wonderful time together. We do.” She used to feel constant yearning for extreme experience, which is why she got tattoos, cut herself, and jumped out of airplanes. No longer. Brad, she says, “knows me completely, exactly as I am, every part of me. He loves me. The kids love me. They know all my flaws and all my oddities. And they accept them. And so I can feel complete.”
