These sites provide warnings about health and safety in countries throughout the world.
Who.int links to the World Health Organization, whose Global Alert and Response page provides regular updates on disease outbreaks in every country, as well as information on the types of vaccines and other preparations recommended before traveling to an afflicted area.
Travel.state.gov, website of the U.S. State Department, includes health and safety warnings organized by country and region. The site also has helpful information for American citizens on what to do if a crisis occurs when they are abroad.
Healthmap.org provides data about epidemics via its interactive map, which compiles news from Google News, the WHO, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the Society for Infectious Diseases. The site then pinpoints epidemics and grades them by size and severity.
