Meghan McCain: Twitter quitter?
The Meghan McCain tank top photo prompted an immediate backlash, but leaving Twitter may hurt the senator's daughter even more
Meghan McCain wants you to believe she might be the next celebrity Twitter quitter, said Ryan Tate in Gawker. McCain says she's so shocked by rude comments about the "twitpic" she posted Wednesday showing her in a tank top—with plenty of "maverick cleavage"—that she might stop tweeting. "Oh, please. She's a fameball. She's going nowhere."
Good, said Kim LaCapria in The Inquisitr. The Meghan McCain Twitter photo is not something "that should be shocking to any woman who owns breasts and a tank top, and Meghan really didn’t cross any lines posting it. She looks great, and it’s a shame she felt the need to post a series of apologetic tweets after the fact."
It's funny, said Robert Stacy McCain in The American Spectator, that in the now infamous Meghan McCain tank top photo, the blogger and daughter of Sen. John McCain is holding a book by Andy Warhol, who said everybody would be famous for 15 minutes. "Meghan's 15 minutes have long since expired and if she is stupid enough to follow through on last night's impulsive threat to quit Twittering—50,000 subscribers is an enviable readership for online promotion—the world will have another laugh at her expense."
