George Stevens directed this film version of the Pulitzer Prize–winning play. It won three Oscars, including Best Supporting Actress for Shelley Winters. Millie Perkins plays the title role. 8 p.m., FMC

Appaloosa (2008)

Ed Harris both directs and stars in this old-school Western about two lawmen hired to defend a town from a ruthless rancher. With Viggo Mortensen and Jeremy Irons. 8 p.m., HBO

Get Shorty (1995)

In Elmore Leonard’s darkly comic take on Hollywood, John Travolta stars as a mobster hawking a screenplay. Gene Hackman, Rene Russo, and Danny DeVito co-star. 6 p.m., AMC
