Chinese rabbit becomes a soap opera addict
A Chinese rabbit has become addicted to television soap operas. Owner Jiang Chunlei, of Fujian province, says his rabbit, Jia Xiaoyu, climbs between him and his wife every evening to watch her favorite show and becomes irate, even violent, if one of them moves or tries to watch something else. “Her favorite show is called Ms. Memaid,” said Jiang. “If we accidentally switched to another channel, she would be very angry, biting the pillow and attacking us.”

Kevin Federline's weight gain
Kevin Federline has gained nearly 100 pounds since his divorce from Britney Spears, says The National Enquirer. The former dancer and rapper, 31, who receives some $40,000 a month from Spears, has ballooned from a chiseled 150 pounds to a portly 235, and Spears has been taunting him mercilessly, addressing him as Kevin “Fatterline” and asking him, “When is the baby due?” A friend of Federline’s, however, says that K-Fed isn’t worried about his dramatic weight gain “because women still love him.”

Latvians company accepts souls as collateral
As the global recession deepens, a company in Riga, Latvia, is offering loans to customers willing to pledge their souls as collateral. Viktor Mirosiichenko of the Kontora loan company says the offer is no joke and that about 200 Latvians have already signed contracts pledging “my immortal soul” to the company if the smallish loans—so far less than $500—aren’t repaid. “If they don’t give it back, what can you do? says Mirosiichenko. “They just won’t have a soul. That’s all.”
