Pilsners: Take ’em to the ballgame
Many beer styles “make an enjoyable ­companion to a good ballgame,” said Eric Asimov in The New York Times, but none more so than a pilsner. Here are three of the best.
Watching a baseball game while enjoying a cold beer can be pure heaven, said Eric Asimov in The New York Times. Or pure hell, if you’re at a ballpark and have to raid your child’s college fund to pay for a $9 can of Pabst Blue Ribbon.
Many beer styles “make an enjoyable companion to a good ballgame,” but none more so than a pilsner. In a recent tasting, a Times panel sampled 18 of the best. Using a four-star rating system, we named these our top prospects.
