GOOD DAY FOR: Doing your duty, after Japan's largest business organization, Keidanren, urged its 1,632 member businesses to give their employees time to procreate. Keidanren said that so-called family weeks would encourage salarymen to spend more time with their family, and revive Japan’s negative birthrate. “The advice for sexless couples is to spend more time together,” said Dr. Kunio Kitamura of Japan’s Family Planning Association. BAD DAY FOR: Traveling light, after Canada’s Supreme Court ruled that obese airline passengers have the right to two adjoining seats for the price of one on flights within Canada, upholding a rule by the Canadian Transportation Agency. The CTA said that it is discriminatory to charge passengers “functionally disabled by obesity” two fares to travel. (Reuters)
