Though nearly 40 years old, Patton “looks impressive” for its age, said USA Today. The biopic, starring George C. Scott as Gen. George S. Patton, holds up “superbly” with the help of high-definition Blu-ray technology, and this DVD includes audio commentary from screenwriter Francis Ford Coppola.

This animated film “looks like a black-and-white novel graphic novel come to life,” said The Wall Street Journal. Borrowing from her autobiographical graphic novel, writer/director Marjane Satrapi makes a “dazzingly smart and entertaining” film debut with this charming story about a girl growing up in Tehran during the Islamic revolution.

Director Julien Temple’s film “brilliantly evokes the spirit of punk’s greatest ambassador,” said Gavin Martin in Uncut. Its “collage of different media” includes seldom-seen footage of the Clash frontman’s early life and clips of the band as well as his later group, the Mescaleros.
