China has replaced North Korea as one of the top three U.S. enemies in the public’s mind. Iran stayed atop the “enemies list,” with 25% of Americans saying it posed the greatest threat. Iraq placed second, with 22%, even though its current government is backed by the U.S. China placed third, with 14%, followed by North Korea, with 9%. Republicans are twice as likely to see Iran as the top U.S. enemy, while Democrats are more likely to name Iraq.
