GOOD DAY FOR: Take-out stands, after a proposed Mississippi law would bar restaurants from serving obese customers. The bill, designed to combat the state’s high obesity rate, is still in committee, but nutritionists and the restaurant industry are not amused. “Give me a break,” said J. BAD DAY FOR: Reliving the past, after more than a quarter of all U.S. domestic flights failed to arrive on time last year, making it the second-worst year for cancelled or delayed flights. Only 2000 was worse. December was the worst month, with more than a third of flights late or scrapped, mostly due to weather. (AP in The New York Times, free registration)
