Federal prosecutors are investigating a claim that a defense contractor implicated in a congressional corruption scandal procured prostitutes for members of Congress and for CIA officials, The San Diego Union-Tribune reported last week. Contractor Mitchell Wade, who has admitted to bribing disgraced former California Rep. Randy “Duke” Cunningham, reportedly told FBI agents that his company arranged visits by prostitutes to Washington-area hotel suites that were used to entertain lawmakers and other officials. A CIA spokesman said Kyle “Dusty” Foggo, the agency’s No. 3 official, visited the suites and played poker in them, The Wall Street Journal reported. Foggo denied any impropriety.
