Nuclear ambiguity

Israel is sticking to its policy of “don’t show, don’t tell” regarding its alleged nuclear weapons, Israeli radio reported this week. Mohammed ElBaradei, the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency, met with Israeli officials to try to promote his vision of a nuclear-free Middle East. Israel is the only country in the region that has not signed the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, which requires countries to open their nuclear programs to U.N. inspectors. While Israel has never admitted to having nuclear weapons, international experts believe it possesses between 100 and 200 nuclear warheads.
