Sklvik Fjord, Norway
Keiko, the killer whale who starred in the 1993 movie Free Willy, swam into a shallow Norwegian fjord this week to play with swimming children. Keiko was reintroduced to the wild from Iceland this summer after several years of rehabilitation, but so far he has not been accepted by a wild whale pod. Marine biologists said his visit to the Norwegian coast, where he leaped for the crowd and accepted treats, may have been motivated by loneliness.
