1. Jamie Foxx movie reportedly halts production after 'plot to steal' from him
Cameron Diaz chose quite the project for her return to acting. A report from The Sun claims production on the Netflix movie Back in Action, which will star Diaz and Jamie Foxx, has been halted amid an investigation into a plot to steal from Foxx "in an elaborate scam." A source told the outlet "one staffer has been sacked, and there are investigations after someone tried to get access to £33,000 in cash from Jamie Foxx," adding that "it sounds as though they tried to offer up a Rolex watch as part of the deal." Bosses on the film reportedly contacted police after learning the staffer "may have been linked to similar attempts to extract large sums of cash from wealthy stars in the past." The Sun also claims the production has been so messy — with various delays and with Foxx firing producers in a "furious rage" — that Diaz plans to quit acting again, following the Tom Brady "retirement, un-retirement, re-retirement" playbook.
2. Brian Cox unleashes his inner Logan Roy at 'Succession' premiere
Brian Cox apparently couldn't make it to the Succession premiere, so Logan Roy showed up instead. As Deadline was interviewing actor Fisher Stevens at the HBO series' New York premiere, Cox could be heard loudly screaming, and it sounded like he was having a Logan Roy-esque meltdown. "You can hear Brian screaming," Stevens noted. "Brian is still mad." Later, Reuters published a video of the moment, tweeting that Cox "turned into his show character" by yelling while the cast was lined up for a picture on the red carpet. His co-stars didn't seem to take it seriously, as they all started laughing, and Deadline reports a rep insisted he was joking. But then Cox suggested he was genuinely annoyed, telling Deadline, "There's always this problem with photographers: They're like go right, right, right, and I was like 'Get your f--king s--t together!'" Thank goodness none of them endorsed Method acting in front of him or there may have been a real problem.

3. Bad Bunny's ex-girlfriend sues him for using her voice without permission
See you in court, baby. Bad Bunny has been hit with a $40 million lawsuit from his ex-girlfriend for using a recording of her on two of his songs, The Associated Press reports. Carliz De La Cruz Hernández recorded herself saying "Bad Bunny, baby," a phrase she reportedly came up with, for the singer in 2015. But in the lawsuit, she alleged he used this clip of her in his songs without permission. "Thousands of people have commented directly on Carliz's social media networks, as well as every time she goes to a public place, about the 'Bad Bunny, baby,'" the lawsuit said. "This has caused, and currently causes, that De La Cruz feels worried, anguished, intimidated, overwhelmed and anxious." Bad Bunny's representative also allegedly tried to buy the recording from her, but when she declined, he used it on his album anyway. She's not a happy bunny.
4. The Rock takes heat for 'Shazam!' box office failure
Ready for another installment in the DC box office blame game? A new report alleges Dwayne Johnson shares some of the blame for the box office failure of DC's Shazam! Fury of the Gods. He starred in last year's Black Adam, and in the comics, Black Adam was a Shazam villain, so fans were surprised that there was no connection between Black Adam and the Shazam! sequel. Well, The Wrap reports this is because Johnson vetoed a Black Adam post-credits scene featuring Shazam, which could have boosted interest in Fury of the Gods, and also "nixed" plans for Black Adam actors to appear in the Shazam! credits. This report argues Johnson also "did plenty of work in public to undermine" the Shazam! sequel like spending an entire press tour hyping a potential showdown with Superman, possibly because he viewed himself as "bigger" than a mere Shazam foe. It sounds like Johnson just didn't know his role in the DC universe.

5. Damon Lindelof reportedly exits his 'Star Wars' movie
How many more disturbances in the Force can Star Wars fans take? Damon Lindelof, co-creator of Lost and The Leftovers, has left a Star Wars movie he was writing with Justin Britt-Gibson, Above the Line reported and Deadline confirmed. Britt-Gibson has also reportedly exited. With Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy set to direct, the mysterious film looked like it could be the first new Star Wars movie since 2019's The Rise of Skywalker. But Lindelof recently hinted at trouble in the galaxy, telling Slashfilm the "degree of difficulty" in making a Star Wars film is "extremely, extremely, extremely high," and "if it can't be great, it shouldn't exist." He and Britt-Gibson turned in a draft in February before leaving the movie days later, Above the Line said, but a new writer has reportedly been hired with the goal of starting production next February. At this point, though, it's anyone's guess whether Star Wars can get a new movie into theaters before theaters themselves no longer exist.
