1. PM: CHURCH MUST 'GET WITH THE PROGRAMME'

The Church of England should "get with the programme" and approve women bishops, David Cameron has said during Prime Minister's Questions. He added the Church, which rejected a plan to allow women bishops last night, needed to be given "a sharp prod". Earlier, the Archbishop of Canterbury Rowan Williams said the Church had "lost a measure of credibility".
