1. ITALIAN COACH CRASH LEAVES 39 DEAD

At least 39 people have been killed after a coach went through a crash barrier on the A116 autostrada in southern Italy last night. The vehicle was taking around 50 people, including children, back to Naples following a pilgrimage when it left the road and plunged down a 100ft ravine near Avellino in the southern region of Campania.
