2018 F1 season guide: final drivers’ and constructors’ standings
Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes secure another title double
Formula 1 world champion Lewis Hamilton ended his superb season with victory at the final race of 2018 in Abu Dhabi.
The British driver, who is now a five-time F1 title winner, clinched the win at Yas Marina Circuit ahead of Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel and Red Bull’s Max Verstappen. Hamilton’s 11th win of the season means he ends the campaign with 408 points.
Speaking after the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, Hamilton told Sky Sports: “I really wanted to finish the season strongly. I wanted to end how I plan to start next year - that was the new psyche.”
