Lance Armstrong 'let girlfriend take blame' for car crash

Shamed cyclist's partner lied to police and said she was behind wheel in December accident

Disgraced cyclist Lance Armstrong has been charged with crashing into two parked cars after his girlfriend admitted she had lied to police when she said she had been driving, says the Denver Post.

The incident took place in the ski resort of Aspen, Colorado, in December. The 43-year-old and his partner Anna Hansen were driving home from a fundraising event at an art museum when their 4x4 hit two parked cars.
